Resounding Joy Pilot Program
We are pleased to announce that on August 27th 2019, IFAA and Resounding Joy with the support of Local 2881 District X CAL FIRE San Diego Unit will be launching our first pilot program for behavioral health within the workplace!
This training program will be a six week course consisting of six, 90 minute sessions led by board certified music therapists. The goal of this course is to provide an array of accessible, music centered, mindfulness experiences that may be used by first responders to address a variety of concerns, including but not limited to: stress, anxiety, depression, PTSD, insomnia, isolation, compassion fatigue, and burn out.
This course has been approved for all those within CAL FIRE / San Diego County Fire to attend. Any employees ON or OFF regularly scheduled duty days are welcome and encouraged to attend. Those that are not on duty will receive overtime pay, as this is being treated as training.
Being that this is our pilot program, we ask that all participants are open and honest with all feedback. This is to BENEFIT YOU so please be our guide to success!
Classes are scheduled as follows:
- Tuesday’s at Jamul Station #36 0830 – 1000
- Wednesdays at Deer Springs Station #11 0830 – 1000
